The Producer of Manifesta 3

Cankarjev dom, opened in 1980, is the largest cultural and congress centre in Slovenia. Its building, situated in the very centre in Ljubljana, provides over 36.000 square metres of events spaces, including several auditoria and exhibition spaces. The centre organizes over 1.200 events each year: concerts of classical, contemporary and jazz music, theatre and dance performances, exhibitions, film and video performances, festivals, congresses, conferences, fairs and social events. Highlits from the recent programme include perforamnces by Gary Hill, Marina Abramovi}, Robert Wilson, Ron Athey, Lawrence Steger, Josef Nadj and Angelin Perljocaj, concerts by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra, and exhibitions by Giorgio Morandi, Egon Schiele, Joe Tilson, Claude Viallat, Marina Abramovi}, Giorgio De Chirico and David Hockney.
